PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel battery that has both of excellent gas sealing performance for preventing external leakage and excellent electrical insulation performance.SOLUTION: A fuel battery has frame pieces 1a to 1d of fiber sheets which are provided with overlap margin parts 2 for adjacent frame pieces and encapsulated by resin, an anode separator 4 and a cathode separator 5 which are provided with concave portions, and MEA 17. The overlap margin parts 2 of the frame pieces 1a, 1b are set in the concave portions 3a, 3b of the cathode separator 5, and portions of the frame pieces at which the overlap margin parts 2 are not provided are overlapped with each other to arrange the frame pieces 1a, 1b in an annular shape at the cathode side. A polymer electrolyte membrane 16 portion of MEA 17 is overlaid on the annular frame pieces 1a, 1b, and further the plural frame pieces 1c, 1d which are provided with the overlap margin parts 2 at positions different from the overlap margin parts 2 of the frame pieces 1a, 1b are overlaid on the polymer electrolyte membrane 16 portion. The overlap margin portions 2 are set in the concave portions 3c, 3d of the anode separator 4 to construct a fuel battery cell 100. By heating and pressurizing, the resin is melt, charged in the gap between the concave portion and the frame piece and the gap between the frame pieces, and then hardened under the above state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
