PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an obstacle alarm device with which it is possible to suppress a duration of time for which an alarm based on a false detection result is continued.SOLUTION: A detection result management unit F2 specifies the relative position, to the vehicle, of an obstacle (defined as a detection point) detected by an obstacle sensor 2, and makes it stored in a memory 11. The detection result management unit F2 successively updates the position of the detection point stored in the memory 11 in accordance with a change in the vehicle position. An alarm necessity determination unit F3 determines whether an alarm is necessary by the physical relationship of the position of the detection point with the vehicle. However, when an overlapping determination unit F5 determines that the ranges in which some detection point and the vehicle exist overlap, the alarm necessity determination unit F3 determines that there is no need to raise an alarm for an obstacle that corresponds to that detection point.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
