PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive unit for detecting the position of a driven part highly accurately.SOLUTION: A drive unit comprises: a drive part; a driven part to be driven by the drive part; and a position detection part for detecting the position of the driven part with respect to a set origin.
