PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a free-type bidirectional clutch in which a rotation from an input shaft is transmitted to an output shaft and in turn a rotation from the output shaft to the input shaft is shut off under utilization of an idling gear.SOLUTION: An input shaft 2 and an output shaft 3 that can be rotated around a common rotating axis are mounted in a housing 1 that is unrotatable, a concentric gear SG is formed at the output shaft 3 and at the same time a planetary gear member 4 with an external gear PG engaged with the concentric gear SG is arranged around the concentric gear SG. The planetary gear member 4 is pivotally supported by a carrier 5 and provided with a protrusion part 41 that protrudes to one side in an axial direction. The protrusion part 41 is inserted into a space part 22 formed at a flange part of the input shaft 2. When the input shaft 2 is rotated, auto-rotation of the planetary gear member 4 is prohibited to become a locked state and a rotation is transmitted to the output shaft 3. However, when the output shaft side 3 is rotated, the planetary gear member 4 is rotated in idling and a transmission of rotation to the input shaft 2 is shut off.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
