PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that prevents damage to the apparatus when abnormality occurs to the conveyance of sheets without stopping the conveyance of continuous form paper as much as possible and reducing productivity in print processing.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a conveying part that conveys continuous form paper; an image forming part that forms an image on an image carrier; a transfer part that transfers the image formed by the image forming part to the continuous form paper; a fixing part that fixes the image transferred to the continuous form paper by the transfer part; a conveyance abnormality detection part that detects abnormality in the conveyance of the continuous form paper; and a control part that controls an image forming operation. The control part determines whether or not the continuous form paper can be conveyed on the basis of a result of the detection by the conveyance abnormality detection part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
