PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for conveniently and correctly acquiring bus route number information required to be retrieved, a portable terminal and a server.SOLUTION: The method includes the steps of: acquiring a bus stop guide plate image of a bus to be retrieved by a camera; uploading the acquired bus stop guide plate image to a server and performing pattern recognition on the server with respect to the bus stop guide plate image to specify bus route number information; and receiving from the server the bus route number information including information on a bus stop at which a bus goes through, information on operation time of the retrieved bus and information on restaurants around a route of the retrieved bus.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
