PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for used paper treatment capable of inhibiting a foreign material mixed during a disintegration treatment from being transported downstream.SOLUTION: A used paper treatment apparatus has a disintegration-retardant treatment part 22(F), which comprises: an agitation tank 29 equipped with an agitation blade 41 to agitate used paper with water; and a drive part to rotate the agitation blade 41. On the agitation blade 41, foreign material catching parts 17 to catch foreign materials mixed in the agitation tank 29 are formed. A plane part is formed on the agitation blade 41 at least in a prescribed range in the vicinity of a rotation center. The foreign material catching part 17 has a projection that projects at least either of upward or downward of the plane part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
