PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress excessive increase in a load of an electric oil pump for use in supplying hydraulic pressure to an engagement element of a transmission device during travel on both motors.SOLUTION: An ECU is incorporated in a vehicle that includes an engine, a first MG, a second MG, a power transmission device (a planetary gear device), a transmission device having an engagement element to be engaged with hydraulic pressure from an electric pump, and a counter shaft (an output shaft) connected to the second MG and a drive wheel. The power transmission device includes: a carrier connected to the engine via the transmission device; a sun gear connected to the first MG; and a ring gear connected to the counter shaft. During travel on both motors using power of both the first MG and second MG while the engine is stopped, the ECU maintains the carrier of the power transmission device stopped by engaging the engagement element of the transmission device. In a case where a load of the electric pump exceeds a threshold during the travel on both motors, the ECU reduces torque of the first MG.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 |
