PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an ultraviolet light absorber high in ultraviolet absorption performance.SOLUTION: In the method for producing an ultraviolet absorber, mother particles M are covered with a covering layer including metallic silicon by a sputtering system 10 provided with a container 11 pivotally supported almost to a horizontal direction rollably. The inside of the container 11 is fed with the mother particles M with the average particle diameter of 0.5 to 200 μm are fed to the inside of the container 11, the mother particles M fed to the inside of the container 11 are rotated or oscillated around a spindle, thus stirring is performed, and together with, sputtering is performed, and the mother particles are covered with a covering layer including metallic silicon.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
