PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce time required for length measurement work.SOLUTION: A length measurement device comprises: a material transport part; a block opening part; a contact body part 132; a contact body transport part 134; a load detection part; a movement amount detection part 136; and a length calculation part. The block opening part blocks a predetermined portion of a transport path, temporarily. The contact body part 132 moves to the block opening part along the transport path, so as to progress and retreat freely. The contact body transport part 134 transports the contact body part 132 to the predetermined portion of the transport path. The load detection part detects a load applied to the contact body part 132. The movement amount detection part 136 detects a position of the contact body part 132 when the load applied to the contact body part 132 exceeds a predetermined load. The length calculation part calculates difference between maximum distance and distance from a position of the contact body part 132 in a predetermined state to a position of the contact body part 132 when the load applied to the contact body part 132 exceeds the predetermined load.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
