PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent excessive heat generation by interrupting the current reliably at the time of temperature rise due to occurrence of an abnormality.SOLUTION: A battery 1 has a battery element 10, a first chamber 13a for sealing the battery element 10, one or two second chambers 13b having interior isolated from that of the first chamber 13a, a pair of first terminals 11 connected with the battery element 10, and a second terminal 12 having a tip located in the two second chambers 13b. At least one of the first terminals 11 is arranged while the tip is located in the second chamber 13b. The second terminal 12 is arranged across the interior and exterior of the second chamber 13b, so that the tip is in contact with the first terminal 11 located in the second chamber 13b, in the second chamber 13b. In the second chamber 13b, a blend 14 generating gas when the potential difference between the pair of first terminals 11 goes above a predetermined value is encapsulated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
