A method for preparation of a diamond polishing film, comprising a step of dispersing diamond powder in a binder, then coating therewith the surface of a base film; before dispersion, the diamond powder is washed with water until the pH value of the wash water reaches at least 6.0. After washing with water, the pH value at the surface of the diamond is near neutral or neutral, which significantly raises the fastness of the diamond powder to the binder; the diamond powder on the polishing film is not prone to falling off when the polishing film is being used, and the service life of the polishing film is prolonged. |
