The present invention relates to a smart key searching system and a method to reduce a dark current, and more specifically, to a smart key searching system and a method to reduce a dark current by effectively detecting an FOB key. Accordingly, the present invention provides a smart key searching system to reduce a dark current and comprises: an FOB key to transmit an RF response signal as a response to a searching signal transmitted by a smart key control unit; and the smart key control unit to measure the strength of the RF response signal received from the FOB key, to determine the position of the FOB key, to select a searching method of the FOB key based on the area where the FOB key is located, and to search for the FOB key via the method selected. |
