The present invention relates to an apparatus to separate and collect carbon dioxide from a sample for radiocarbon dating using AMS. According to the present invention, the sample preprocessing apparatus as a hollow tube to move the sample comprises: a base line; a trap unit connected by being inserted into a middle of the base line, and accommodated by cooling a sample of a gas state or a sample of being changed into the gas state; a vacuum processing line connected by being inserted into the base line on a rear end of a trap unit, having a collection unit to collect carbon dioxide gas separated from the sample; a sample introduction unit installed in one end part of the vacuum processing line such that the sample is introduced to the vacuum processing line by accommodating the sample; and a cooling unit able to selectively cool down the temperature of the trap unit into a first temperature equal to or less than a freezing point of carbon dioxide or a second temperature above the freezing point of carbon dioxide, wherein the vacuum processing line is formed by mutually connecting a plurality of glass tubes. |
