PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve both reduction in power consumption in a standby mode and acceleration in restoration from the standby mode to an operation mode.SOLUTION: A processing device, an image reading apparatus, and an image forming apparatus, comprising: a voltage generating part that generates a voltage of a predetermined electric potential, includes: a control signal generating part that generates a control signal by switching an electric potential different from the predetermined electric potential and the predetermined electric potential; a plurality of processing parts that, while flowing a predetermined current, processes and outputs an inputted signal in the case where the electric potential of control signal is in the predetermined electric potential, and that does not processes the signal without flowing the predetermined current in the case where the electric potential of control signal is in the electric potential different from the predetermined electric potential; and a control part that controls the control signal generating part in the case of an operation mode so that a plurality of processing parts is processed, a voltage signal of the predetermined electric potential generated by the voltage generating part is set to the control signal, and in the case of a standby mode so that a plurality of processing part does not process the signal, the voltage generating part sets the voltage signal of electric potential different from the predetermined electric potential as a control signal while generating the voltage of predetermined electric potential.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
