PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormality detection device of a water heater showing a superior workability at its manufacturing step and capable of reducing loss of expensive metallic material.SOLUTION: This invention relates to an abnormality detection device of water heater including control means for controlling combustion at a burner on the basis of detected information of combustion chamber temperature detection means [thermocouple]. Two kinds of wire member with circular section including different kinds of metal are connected at a connecting part 11 to form a thermocouple [heat sensitive part] 1, output ends 1a1, 1b1 of the thermocouple are inserted into a connection member 2 [2a, 2b] formed by hollow cylindrical metal so as to be electrically conducted and at the same time, the connection member is processed with conduction promoting processing so as to reduce an electrical resistance between an output end of the thermocouple and the connecting member. The other ends 2a2, 2b2 of the connecting member are connected with lead wire 3 [3a, 3b] composed of wires for electrically connecting the control means and the output ends of the thermocouple so as to be electrically conducting with the connecting member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
