PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stepping motor for meter of which the pointer can keep a zero position without micromotion from the zero position even if a magnetically stable point under excitation and a magnetically stable point under no excitation are displaced.SOLUTION: A rotor magnet 12 comprises a stop plate 14 including a stopper 14a which is magnetized circumferentially in a bipolar manner, and a rotation regulation part 60 formed from a magnetic material for regulating rotations of a rotor 10 by abutting the stopper 14a is provided at the base of pole teeth 24a of a stator 20. By abutting the stopper 14a to the rotation regulation part 60 in an excited state, the pointer is kept at the zero position of a display device and even if an excitation current is cut off at the zero position, the pointer is kept at the zero position. When rotating the rotor 10 while separating the stopper 14a from the rotation regulation part 60, a B-phase stator 22 is excited in such a manner that a polarity of the rotation regulation part 60 becomes the same as a polarity of the stopper 14a at a side which is attracted to the rotation regulation part 60.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
