1. A computer-implemented method of detecting an error comprising:
electronically receiving the athlete's body mass index; electronically determining that the athlete's body mass index is outside of a predetermined index range having at least an upper threshold; based upon the determination that the received body mass index is outside of the predetermined index, electronically selecting a first heart rate measurement protocol instead of at least a second heart rate protocol; electronically receiving a first heart rate value from a sensor at a first orientation at a first position with respect to an athlete's body; calculating, using the first heart rate measurement protocol, a first heart rate measurement from a sensor; storing the a first heart rate measurement on a non-transitory computer-readable medium; electronically receiving a second heart rate value from the sensor; and electronically determining that the second heart rate measurement from the sensor outside of at least one of the first heart rate range and a second heart rate range and in response augmenting an aspect of the first heart rate protocol; wherein the first heart rate measurement protocol is different than the second heart rate protocol with respect to at least one parameter selected from the group consisting of: wavelength of light transmitted by the sensor, intensity of light transmitted from the sensor, algorithm utilized, weights, confidences, and combinations thereof. |
