PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a failure detection device which exactly determine a failure of a filter while preventing the deterioration of a detection part by reducing the number of times of regeneration processing for removing particulate substances.SOLUTION: An ECU 1 comprises: an NG determination part 50 which performs abnormality determination on the basis of a detection value of a PM sensor; a count part 51 which integrates a preset NG count-up value when NG is determined at the abnormality determination; a failure determination part 52 which determines a failure of a CSF 12 when a count value exceeds a count determination threshold; a reset part 54 which resets the count value when OK is determined at the abnormality determination; and a determination correction part 53 which corrects the NG count-up value to a small value by reflecting an influence of a status when a signal is detected which indicates the status that the accuracy of the failure determination is affected by the failure determination part 52.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
