PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive composition capable of forming an adhesive layer excellent in major characteristics such as durability, and at the same time specifically excellent in humidification durability of an antistatic function, and also to provide an adhesive layer and a polarizing plate having an adhesive layer.SOLUTION: An adhesive composition includes: a (meth) acrylic polymer (A); and an ionic compound (B) having an anionic component and a cationic component. The (meth) acrylic polymer (A) is a hydroxyl group-inclusive (meth)acrylic polymer (A) having a hydroxyl group-inclusive monomer as a monomer unit.
