PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device for handling a clear channel assessment and a signal transmission in a license-free band.SOLUTION: A network for handling a clear channel assessment (CCA) in a license-free band includes a storage unit for storing instructions and a processing means coupled to the storage unit. The processing means is configured to execute the instructions stored in the storage unit. The instructions include: an instruction of suspending transmitting at least one first orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbol in a subframe on a component carrier; and an instruction of performing a CCA operation within duration of the at least one first OFDM symbol in the subframe on the component carrier.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
