PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a positive electrode material reduced in quantity of impurity; a positive electrode material manufacturing method by which a positive electrode material reduced in quantity of impurity can be manufactured readily; a positive electrode including such a positive electrode material or a positive electrode material obtained by the positive electrode material manufacturing method; and a lithium ion battery having such a positive electrode.SOLUTION: A positive electrode material comprises: active material particles formed by using, as a material for formation thereof, a positive electrode active material. The positive electrode active material is expressed by LiADPO(where A at least one metal element selected from a group consisting of Fe, Co, Mn, Ni, Cu and Cr; D is at least one metal element selected from a group consisting of Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, Ti, Zn, B, Al, Ga, In, Si, Ge, Sc, Y, and a rare earth element; and 0<x≤2, 0<y≤1, and 0≤z≤1.5). In the positive electrode material, the average valence of the metal element represented by A and the metal element represented by D is 2-2.02; and the particle pH of the active material particles is 6.5-8.5.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
