In order to increase the power and efficiency of an electric machine by avoiding losses particularly during operation in the upper rotational speed range, the invention relates to a wave winding (100; 200) for a stator of such a machine, designed to be placed in a succession of stator slots (110; 210) located along a periphery of the machine; for one respective phase of the machine, the wave winding has at least two conductors (A, B, C, D; A1, A2, A3, C1, C2, C3; A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H) which are connected to one another in parallel and/or in series and which can be arranged at a given coil span (120, 122) in a number of at least two successive stator slots of each magnetic pole and each phase of the machine in a sequence predefined for each phase and for one respective magnetic pole along the periphery of the machine, wherein the predefined sequence at least of the conductors that are connected on one another in parallel is inversed in at least one position (121) along the periphery of the machine by having at least two conductors swap slots at least once. |
