The present invention provides a polymer modifier composition with which it is possible to reduce heat build-up and minimize the growth of cracks while maintaining high hardness as a rubber composition, a modified polymer modified thereby, a rubber composition containing this modified polymer, and a pneumatic tire using this rubber composition. This polymer modifier composition contains a synthetic zeolite and a nitrone compound having a nitrone group, and is to be used on polymers having an unsaturated carbon-carbon bond.
