A method and device for synchronizing Media Access Control (MAC) address are provided by the present invention. The method comprises: in the case that a first hardware reports a first MAC address to a platform, the first MAC address is reported to the platform after being stored into a preset cache successfully; in the case that the platform transmits a second MAC address to a second hardware, when the second MAC address is not found in the preset cache, the second MAC address is transmitted to the second hardware. By the present invention, correction is performed in time when the problem that software is asynchronous with the hardware occurs, and the problem of traffic forwarding may be solved as much as possible, and the network reliability is guaranteed. |
