The present invention relates to a surgical punch for preventing a spinal cord pressed by the punch from sticking up and being pinched by the punch during surgery, and provides a surgical punch having a spinal nerve protection function, comprising: a fixing handle provided obliquely; a fixing plate formed to extend at a predetermined length at one end portion of the fixing handle; a hinge pivotally provided to one end portion of the fixing plate; a pivoting handle pivotally provided to the hinge and pivoted forward and rearward by pressure; a moving plate provided at a predetermined length to be slidable along the upper surface of the fixing plate, and connected to the pivoting handle so as to slide forward and rearward on the upper surface of the fixing plate according to the pivoting of the pivoting handle; a supporting part formed to be inclined upward from the other end portion of the fixing plate at a predetermined length; and a pinch preventing protrusion formed to protrude from the front lateral side of the supporting part so as to push a protuberance on the spinal cord such that the spinal cord which sticks up by being pressed by the front of the supporting part is not pinched between the supporting part and the moving plate. The present invention effectively prevents spinal nerves from being bitten off except bones or tissues while performing surgery by using the surgical punch, thereby preventing big medical malpractices and protecting patients. In addition, it is possible to solve the problem that doctors worry about biting off the spinal nerves during the surgery and hesitate to use the surgical punch. Furthermore, it is possible to shorten a long surgery time taken when the doctors quite carefully perform the surgery with concern about biting off the spinal nerves during the surgery.
