The present invention relates to a motion-demonstrating electronic transmission lever and a control method thereof, and more specifically, to a motion-demonstrating electronic transmission lever, comprising: a transmission range selecting unit to change the transmission range of the vehicle; a motion demonstrating unit mounted in the vehicle to be movable; a control unit to recognize the operation of the transmission range selecting unit, to move the motion demonstrating unit, to convey a signal generated by the transmission range selecting unit to the TCU of the vehicle, and to change the transmission range; and a moving unit to receive a signal from the control unit and to move the motion demonstrating unit forward and backward, and a control method thereof. When a driving step (Step R/Step D) on the transmission range selecting unit is operated, first the motion demonstrating unit is moved by the moving unit, and after a preset time, the signal generated by the transmission range selecting unit is conveyed to the TCU and the transmission range of the vehicle is changed. Accordingly, the risk of an accident due to an anomaly in the operation of a transmission can be remarkably reduced. |
