PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator device in which emergency evacuation can be quickly performed.SOLUTION: An elevator device is equipped with a car 1. The car 1 is elevated in a hoistway 3. Further, the car 1 is equipped with a chair 17. The chair 17 is folded and stored thereby forming a part of an internal surface of the car 1. The chair 17 is so assembled as to be capable of being carried out to the exterior of the car 1. The chair 17 may be provided with a caster 17b.
