PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine whether or not a tire suitable for a season is mounted on a vehicle.SOLUTION: A sensor unit 20 provided in each wheel of a vehicle has a controller 24. A memorizing portion 24b of the controller 24 memorizes tire identification information indicating whether a tire is a winter tire or a summer tire. The controller 24, when a temperature detected by a wheel-side temperature sensor 22 is equal to a threshold for winter or less and when the tire identification information memorized in the memorizing portion 24b indicates that the tire is the summer tire, determines that a tire currently mounted on the vehicle is not suitable for a winter season. The controller 24, when the temperature detected by the wheel-side temperature sensor 22 is equal to a threshold for summer or more and when the tire identification information memorized in the memorizing portion 24b indicates that a tire is a winter tire, determines that the tire currently mounted on the vehicle is not suitable for a summer season.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
