PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink for reducing ink discharge defects during ink discharging.SOLUTION: There is provided a manufacturing method of an ink containing a self-dispersion type pigment. A process of manufacturing the ink includes an ultrasonic step for applying ultrasonic to the ink and a degasification step for degasifying a gas content contained in the ink. The ink contains a water-soluble solvent of 10% to 20% inclusive and a glycol-based surfactant of 0.1% to 2% inclusive.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
