PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal device and a communication method therefor, capable of suppressing the increase of congestion caused by the retry of calling processing in the event of a disaster.SOLUTION: A communication terminal device 10 includes: radio communication units 30, 40 for radio communicating with a base station; and a control unit 50 for controlling communication that uses the radio communication units 30, 40. The control unit 50 includes: a retry execution unit 58 for retrying calling processing when a connection to a radio communication network fails at the calling processing; and a retry count set unit 52 for setting a maximum retry count to permit retrying by the retry execution unit 58. When a radio communication unit receives an urgent notification distributed by the base station in an emergency, the retry number of times setting unit 52 reduces the maximum retry count than at a normal time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
