PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decelerate a vehicle even when an abnormality occurs in batteries or a peripheral part of the batteries while the vehicle that decelerates only by a regenerative brake is traveling.SOLUTION: A relay control device comprises: a main relay 6 and module relays 26 provided between a connection point of batteries 21 connected in parallel and an inverter 7 and a travel motor 8, the batteries 21, the inverter 7 and the travel motor 8 being mounted in a vehicle that decelerates only by a regenerative brake; and a battery control unit 53 that cuts off the supply of electric power from each battery 21 to the inverter 7 and the travel motor 8 using the main relay 6 or the module relays 26 after predetermined time passes or a velocity of the vehicle becomes not higher than a predetermined velocity when an abnormal state occurs in the batteries 21 or a peripheral part of the batteries 21 while the vehicle is traveling.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
