PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video projection system capable of forming a projected video with high contrast and smooth luminance gradation, while coping with the luminance of wide dynamic range, even when a video projector having specific function of maximum luminance and video projectable range is used.SOLUTION: The system includes a plurality of video projectors 10A-10D, and a video signal distribution unit 20 for extracting the luminance distribution of video projection range being given to each video projector from the luminance distribution of input video, and outputting individual video signals representing the luminance distribution to respective video projectors 10A-10D. The video signal distribution unit 20 selects video projectors having a large upper limit of relative luminance, in order, from among the plurality of video projectors, sets the range of less than the upper limit of video projector thus selected as the luminance distribution of video projection range, and removes from the luminance distribution of input image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
