Disclosed are a touch input device and method. The touch input device comprises a primary touch screen arranged along a main surface of the touch input device, a secondary touch screen arranged along a side surface of the touch input device, and a main control module connected to the primary touch screen and the secondary touch screen. The main control module controls the secondary touch screen to display a plurality of auxiliary touch buttons, and the touch input device is further provided with a main touch button for enabling and disabling the touch function of the auxiliary touch buttons. By means of the present invention, the auxiliary touch buttons can be enabled when needed by users and disabled when not needed, so that misoperation is avoided and convenience is brought to the users.
