PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately determine a document inclination.SOLUTION: In a color composite device 1, a scanning optical system 26 reads the image of an original G to be conveyed, and outputs image data, and detection data generation parts 64a to 64c respectively detect the top end of the original G to be conveyed in a conveyance direction as an electronic end on the basis of the image data. Also, optical end detection means composed of a photo sensor 15b, a detection time difference calculation part 61 and a sub-scanning distance generation part 62 optically detects the top end of the original G to be conveyed in the conveyance direction as an optical end. Electronic primary original inclination calculation parts 65a to 65c extract the inclination of the top end of the original G in the conveyance direction as an electronic inclination on the basis of the electronic end, and an optical primary original inclination calculation part 63 extracts the inclination of the top end of the original G in the conveyance direction as an optical inclination on the basis of the optical end. A secondary original inclination calculation part 66 extracts the final inclination of the original G from the electronic inclination and the optical inclination.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10 |
