Disclosed are a backlight module and liquid crystal display device, the backlight module (100) comprising: a back plate (140) with a side wall (141); a light guide plate (110) being disposed on the back plate (140), comprising a light-entering end (111), a light-exiting surface (112) and an opposing bottom surface (113); a light source (120) is provided on the side wall (141) and is provided adjacent to the light-entering end (111); a middle frame (150) covers the light guide plate (110) and the light source (120); a first slot (160) is provided at the light-entering end (111), and opens toward the middle frame (150); a second slot (170) is provided at the light-entering end (111), is adjacent to the first slot (160) and opens toward the back plate (140); a first quantum-strip (131) is accommodated in the first slot (160); a second quantum-strip (132) is accommodated in the second slot (170). The present invention fixedly provides quantum-strips at the light-entering end in a vertically interlacing manner, the fixing operation being easy and convenient, preventing light of the light source from directly entering the light guide plate, thus improving a color impression of the backlight. |
