Disclosed is an image input apparatus comprising: a connection unit for receiving, from an external device, an input source including at least one among an image source and an audio source; a communications unit capable of wireless communications with a display apparatus; and a data processing unit, connected to the communications unit, for obtaining input signals based on the input source and for transmitting the input signals to the display apparatus. The present invention is to provide an image input apparatus capable of effective communications.
