PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve security related to the remote monitoring of power generating plant.SOLUTION: A remote monitoring system includes: a monitoring device for displaying a monitoring screen for monitoring a power generating plant; a remote monitoring device for displaying a monitoring screen transferred from the monitoring device; and a management server for managing information related to the remote monitoring device. Furthermore, the management server includes an activation management part for acquiring device identification information for identifying the remote monitoring device, and for, when the device identification information is coincident with preliminarily registered device identification information, making a response with activation permission to the remote monitoring device. Furthermore, the remote monitoring device includes: a secret information storage area for storing the device identification information, that is, a secret information storage area in which software capable of performing access to the secret information storage area is limited to the BIOS software of the remote monitoring device; and an activation part for acquiring activation permission from an activation management part by providing the device identification information in the secret information storage area to the activation management part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
