PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator system capable of preventing unnecessary registration of a destination floor at a security gate, and a control method for the elevator system.SOLUTION: An elevator system 10 in accordance with the present invention includes plural cars 41, a group management control unit 30 that allocates one of the plural cars in response to an allocation-to-destination floor request, and a security gate 20 that is disposed at an entrance of a depot 50 of the cars, permits passage of an authenticated user, and not only performs authentication but also issues the allocation-to-destination floor request to the group management control unit. When a user is authenticated at the security gate, before the group management control unit allocates the car that can be allocated, if the user leaves from the security gate, the group management control unit suspends transmission of the allocation request.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
