PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glove box capable of restraining looseness of a dentition and a gear causable by a lock element, in the glove box having the lock element having meshing of the dentition of a rack and the gear of a pinion such as, for example, a rack and pinion system.SOLUTION: A glove box comprises a lock element 10 having a pinion 4 having a first gear part 41 and a second gear part 42, an operation part 5 for rotating the pinion 4, a first rod 6 and a second rod 7 for reciprocating in the lengthwise direction of itself by being driven by rotary motion of the pinion 4, an energization member 8 installed on the first rod 6 and a stopper part 9 provided in the second rod 7 and a glove door 2, and in a lock position, the first rod 6 is energized in the locking direction by energization force of the energization member 8, and the second rod 7 is regulated in the further movement to the locking direction by the stopper part 9.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
