PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an odorant for a fuel that causes no environmental pollution because it does not generate a sulfur oxide when combusted, causes no catalyst poisoning when used for a fuel cell and has excellent discomfort degree and odor quality with regard to odor as an odorant.SOLUTION: The odorant for fuel contains: 1-octene-3-ol; and one or more kinds of compounds selected from the group consisting of 2-octene-4-one, 1-octene-3-yl acetate, pyruvic aldehyde dimethyl acetal, acetaldehyde dimethyl acetal, 2-cyclohexyl propanal, formaldehyde diethyl acetal, 3-methyl-3-pentene-2-one, hydratropic aldehyde dimethyl acetal, acetaldehyde ethyl-cis-3-hexenyl acetate, t-2-nonenal, 5-ethylidene-2-norbornene, ethyl isovalerate, methyl isovalerate, 3-hydroxy-2-butanone, 2,3-butanedione and 1-octene-3-one.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
