PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container inspection method capable of easily detecting defects existing in the outer peripheral part, the inner peripheral part and the top surface part of an oral region of a container and also to provide a container inspection device for achieving its method.SOLUTION: Disclosed is a container inspection method which is a method for inspecting an oral region 103 of a milk bottle 100. This inspection method includes: an irradiation step of irradiating with inspection light IL an irradiation part IP located at the end in the longitudinal direction of the oral region 103 from a side part and obliquely upward when the milk bottle 100 is seen from the side part (II direction); and an imaging step of imaging the oral region 103 in which the irradiation part IP is irradiated with the inspection light IL in the irradiation step within an imaging image including an image of the oral region 103 appearing when the milk bottle 100 is seen from the upward.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
