PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an unnecessary alarm and lessen the troublesomeness that a driver may feel.SOLUTION: A driving assist device includes a planning locus specification unit 16 for specifying a planning locus drawn by right and left rear wheels of a vehicle when automatic drive control of the vehicle is exercised, and a necessary determination unit 17 for determining whether or not an alarm is necessary depending on whether an obstacle whose position is specified by an obstacle position specification unit 11 is present in the planning locus specified by the planning locus specification unit 16. An alarm unit 18 makes an alarm sound when it is determined by the necessary determination unit 17 that an alarm is necessary, and does not make an alarm sound when it is determined by the necessary determination unit 17 that an alarm is not necessary.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
