1. A oxygen scavenging composition comprising:
(a) a polyamide, wherein the polyamide comprises at least one residue having a formula: wherein n is greater than 5; wherein each R1 is independently hydrogen, C1-C4 alkyl, CH2Ar1, or Ar1; and
wherein each Ar1, when present, is aryl substituted with 0, 1, or 2 groups independently selected from halogen, —OH, —CN, —N3,—NH2, C1-C4 alkyl, C1-C4 alkoxy, C1-C4 monohaloalkyl, C1-C4 polyhaloalkyl, C1-C4 alkylamino, and C1-C4 dialkylamino; (b) polyethylene terephthalate; and (c) a transition metal in a positive oxidation state. |
