Provided is a vehicle leaf spring shackle such that a longitudinal plate member having a thick portion formed therein can be manufactured inexpensively compared with the prior art. A first longitudinal plate member (18) and a second longitudinal plate member (20) have thick portions (18c, 20c) formed on end portions on a leaf spring (12) side thereof, the thick portions having a greater thickness than a thickness (T) of the other portions thereof, the thick portions (18c, 20c) being formed by press forming compressing the leaf spring (12) side end portions of the first longitudinal plate member (18) and the second longitudinal plate member (20) in a plane direction of the end portions. Thus, the thick portions (18c, 20c) of the first longitudinal plate member (18) and the second longitudinal plate member (20) are formed by press forming, which requires relatively low manufacturing cost, rather than by, e.g., welding or casting, which requires relatively high manufacturing cost. Accordingly, the first longitudinal plate member (18) and the second longitudinal plate member (20) having the thick portions (18c, 20c) formed therein can be inexpensively manufactured compared with the prior art. |
