A system for predicting earthquakes including first sensing functionality for sensing at least one earthquake prediction parameter at at least a first point in time prior to an expected earthquake event, second sensing functionality for sensing at least one earthquake prediction parameter at at least a second point in time prior to the expected earthquake event, the second point in time being different from the first point in time, and prediction functionality operative in response to outputs from the first sensing functionality and from the second sensing functionality to provide a prediction of an expected earthquake event.
