The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for providing a thermal image, which can generate a thermal image by matching a heat distribution image obtained by a thermopile array sensor with a high-resolution image taken by an imaging camera to monitor electric equipment, industrial equipment, and third-party intrusion. The apparatus and the method of the present invention can obtain a high-resolution thermal image at significantly low costs compared to an existing thermal imaging camera and obtain a more accurate thermal image, not a simple thermal image of a subject, even in dark conditions without light by matching the real image with the thermal image. The apparatus of the present invention comprises: an image matching control unit for generating the high-resolution thermal image by matching the real image with the thermal image. |
