The invention relates to a system (1) for coating a strip-shaped substrate (2) at least on one side, comprising at least one upper application roller (3) arranged above the substrate (1), at least one lower application roller (4) arranged below the substrate (2), and at least one adjusting device (5), which is connected to the upper application roller (3) and by means of which a position of the upper application roller (3) can be varied in relation to the lower application roller (4). In order to improve the function of such a system (1), the adjusting device (5) according to the invention is designed in such a way that the position of the upper application roller (3) can be varied in relation to the lower application roller (4) in the horizontal direction and transversely to a longitudinal center axis (8) of the upper application roller (3) by means of the adjusting device.
