The invention relates to a diaphragm pump for producing a nearly laminar flow and to a method for operating such a diaphragm pump. The diaphragm pump contains: at least four conveying units, each having a conveying element and two valve elements; a cover plate; a base plate; a diaphragm arranged between the cover plate and the base plate; and a rotatable cam disk having two track curves having recesses and control edges. By means of simple design measures and the specific arrangement of the individual elements in relation to each other, it is achieved that the membrane pump produces a nearly laminar, continuous volumetric flow that has very low residual pulsation. |
