The optical fiber holding device of the present invention is an optical fiber holding device which comprises an openable table part and a holding part which has a cover part and sandwiches and holds an optical fiber when the table part and the cover part are closed at the same time. The holding part comprises an elastic body and a driving device for generating a driving force, and a pressing part which generates pressure based on the driving force by the driving device, and presses the cover part with the pressure by the elastic body. The cover part sandwiches and holds the table part with the optical fiber based on a pressing force transmitted through the elastic body. So, the workability of holding the optical fiber can be improved. |
